In this video, I'm going to discuss the Widget Recycling Tool

The Widget Recycling Tool is a useful ability that will let you copy a widget and its contents from one location and apply it to multiple locations

And any changes you make on the master widget will reflect on all of those copies

It's very simple to use and I'll show you how to use it

As you can see here, I have a very simple website that I have made

The About Us page, it has this information here

This is for like yoga classes

And you can see this content block, whether you're beginning or advancing

If we open that up, that has all of this information right here that we're seeing on the display

As the title, subtitle, main text

Now, if I want to copy this to another location, I can either copy all of these items individually, or I can just use the Recycle widget

Now, by going back to the page that you want to put the widget on, as you can see, that was the About Us page

And if we go to the Classes page, we only have a header here

And if we want to copy that about us information, we can use the Widget Recycle tool by simply going to the Widget Recycle

Once you create it, it will ask you which widget to recycle

Simply select the widget that you wish to copy

This is all of your available pages and widgets on that current website that you're looking at

So simply choosing the widget that we wish to copy and saving and updating will then copy that widget and paste it in that same location

As you can see, we have all that same information here

Now, the neat thing about this Widget Recycle tool is that any changes you make on the master are going to reflect on any other place you have to use that widget

So, as you can see here, if we go back to the About Us page, and we make a change like maybe changing the color of this title here, we want to change this to red

This will change the color of this title on this page

And if we copied and pasted everything manually, it would just save it as is and it wouldn't reflect this change anywhere else

But using the Recycle widget, as we can see when we go back to the Classes page where we have used the Recycle widget, that change is now reflected in the title as well

So, just keep in mind, any change you make on the master widget is going to reflect on any Recycle widgets that are sharing that particular widget

This is very useful if you want to have content that is displayed in multiple areas

And you can even do some neat tricks with this, such as building a hidden page on your website that is not accessible, but you have multiple widgets set up that you can then copy and recycle

into different locations, and you only have to change the master widget in order to make all of those changes on all of those other pages

So, I would recommend experimenting with this widget
