00:00:01In this video, I'm going to discuss the Panorama widget
-
00:00:04The Panorama widget is used to display panoramic or 360 images in a really fun and easy to use interface on mobile devices
-
00:00:14This is designed to be used with images that are called Equa Ratangular 360 Pictures
-
00:00:21If you're not familiar with that, you can always look it up online, the Equa Ratangular 360 images
-
00:00:28But they essentially look like this
-
00:00:31There are very large and long images that might even look a little bit stretched out, and that's on purpose because it's designed to be used with a 360 tool like this
-
00:00:40When you upload a 360 image to the Panorama widget, it will allow you to view that image as if it was 360 and it will wrap the image around the center point and allow you to
-
00:00:53scroll around and look as if you were actually there
-
00:00:55As you can see on the display on the right, we're in a nice beautiful garden with some glass domes here, and this is just a sample I found online
-
00:01:05You can look around, even zoom in, and this will show quite a bit of detail
-
00:01:11And you can look around as if you were actually standing at that spot and see all of the detail
-
00:01:17It's very fun to use and especially fun and useful on a mobile device where you can actually scroll with your finger or even use your gyroscope to move your phone around and literally pan the screen
-
00:01:28as you move your phone
-
00:01:29It's very, very entertaining and pretty cool
-
00:01:32Very easy to use the Panorama widget, simply upload your Equa Ratangular 360 image, either dragging and dropping or browsing and uploading from your computer
-
00:01:43You can control the height on the mobile or the desktop and whether the image will automatically load or if it asks the user to load because sometimes it can be quite large and take up a
-
00:01:53bit of data to load these multiple many images of these large sizes
-
00:01:58But once you've added the image, users can then look around whenever they visit the website
-
00:02:05You can add a hotspot as well by clicking the add a new hotspot button
-
00:02:10What this will do is this will open up the hotspot tool where you can put some text and then whatever you want to call this hotspot, you can even link a URL and put a link
-
00:02:27right here so that users can click and be taken to that link
-
00:02:33But you want to pan around to wherever you would like to put the hotspot and then double click on that location and that will place the hotspot and then you can save an update
-
00:02:47And then now users, when they look around, they will be able to see that hotspot and any information that you have placed for that hotspot or any links that you have directed it to
-
00:02:59And that's how easy it is to use the Panorama widget
