00:00:00Hello and welcome to our second training video in our reseller training video series
-
00:00:06This is the second video of the series where I'm going to discuss plans and products
-
00:00:13In the previous video, we discussed setting up the platform and once you have your platform set up, you need to create a plan in order for users to sign up to your platform
-
00:00:27As you can see, I have a demo plan created here, but let's create a new plan and I'll walk you through the process
-
00:00:33In order to create a plan, simply go to the My Plans and Products section and then go to Create plan
-
00:00:41What this will do is this will let you create a plan in which your users can sign up for
-
00:00:47So first you give the plan a name and then you determine whether it's visible at registration
-
00:00:54Which means that if this is set to off, users can still purchase this plan, but it won't be shown in the traditional plan drop down when you actually show your list of plans on your site
-
00:01:05So you can turn that on and off with this
-
00:01:07The role will determine what role they have as a user, which you only have user at this point as a reseller, and you can determine what available modules they have
-
00:01:19Now this part is important because each plan has a specific set of modules that are available on that plan and that the users will have access to
-
00:01:30If the module is not on that plan, then users will not have access to it unless you make it a separate product, which we will discuss shortly
-
00:01:39But you want to choose the modules that are available on this specific plan
-
00:01:44So you can make different plans with different modules available and you can customize that however you choose
-
00:01:50Some advice if you don't already know is that you can click an object in the box and then you can hold down the control key in order to select and highlight multiple objects
-
00:02:03So if I click mobile and desktop sites and I hold down the control key, I can then give them other tools such as the progressive web apps, the invoices, CRMs, and proposal
-
00:02:13Let's just give them those basics
-
00:02:16Now keep in mind, some of the modules that you see here on the training platform might not always be available to you at the time of a reseller
-
00:02:23Some of these are still under development and not for sale at the time of this video
-
00:02:28And others will determine on which reseller plan you actually have access to
-
00:02:32But any of the available modules that you can give to your users will appear here and you simply select the ones you would like
-
00:02:39If you select any of them shown as blocked, they will appear visible but not usable to the user and they will show up as blocked
-
00:02:46You can block registration completely so no users can register on this plan if you'd like or you can just block the entire platform for users on this plan, meaning that the whole platform is locked out
-
00:02:58for them
-
00:03:00Now over on the right here is where you would have your plant purchase URL
-
00:03:05The purchase URL is where users would go directly to the link if they which to purchase this specific plan
-
00:03:12There's a few different ways to purchase plans which we'll discuss later in the series, but this is one way by sharing a link directly
-
00:03:19Now once you actually add your own platform in your own domain, you will have your platform URL and the plan number right here
-
00:03:27Once you save this plan, you will have the URL updated
-
00:03:30And the switch URL is used for users who are already part of one plan in order to switch to a different plan
-
00:03:37So this would not work for new users who have not registered
-
00:03:41The switch URL is only for current users who are already registered in which to switch plans
-
00:03:46The plan purchase URL is for new users who wish to purchase a plan
-
00:03:50And below that is where you would set the price
-
00:03:53You can set a recurring price, such as a certain amount per month, per year, or quarterly, or any other combination, or you can set up an initial one -time payment
-
00:04:03So say for example, I want to do $20 a month for this plan
-
00:04:07You can do so, you can even set up the $20 a year, or every three, or six months, or even weekly
-
00:04:12And you have the option of turning on a trial, if you like
-
00:04:16Unabling a trial will let users have access to the platform and the modules, but only for a limited time
-
00:04:25So if you want to enable a trial for 30 days, this will give access to anybody who signs up full access for 30 days after which the platform will lock and then require the payment of
-
00:04:38$20 a month as seen up here
-
00:04:40You can ask for a card at the beginning of the trial by switching this on, or you can keep it off so that users can use the trial for free and then must give a card
-
00:04:51at the end in order to resume access or unlock their account
-
00:04:55So those are the main setup details for platforms
-
00:05:00There is some additional details you can set up right down here below
-
00:05:05The default and Bible and platform details, this determines whether this is a default plan that will be signed up for if a user doesn't select a plan
-
00:05:17And you can only have one default plan, keep in mind
-
00:05:21And you can also determine if this is Bible and platform so that they can select it from your list of plans
-
00:05:27You can give it a plan description right here, or you can show this as a solo plan so that this is the only viable option, which hides all other viable options, which again, you can only
-
00:05:39have one of these hence solo
-
00:05:42But once you've set your plan description, and if you decided you want to make this Bible in platform, then you can edit your terms of service, simply add your terms of service for the platform here
-
00:05:56I would recommend working with someone to make sure that that is accurate and legal
-
00:06:00And below that is our upsell management
-
00:06:05If you have other plans, they will show up here in the upsell management, and you can actually select these in order to show them other plans that they might be interested in upgrading to
-
00:06:17This will appear as a banner at the top, similar to the free trial countdown that you'll see when we actually sign up for our user and test everything in the following videos
-
00:06:28And this last section, registration codes
-
00:06:30This should only be used if you actually intend to give out registration to specific users
-
00:06:38By clicking generate and append 1000 new codes, what this button will do is this will generate registration codes which are required in order to actually sign up
-
00:06:48This will prevent anonymous or random people from stumbling upon your platform or your plan and signing up because it will require a registration code
-
00:06:58However, once you generate registration codes, you can no longer use the plan without those codes
-
00:07:05So I would recommend maybe testing this with a separate plan just so you understand how it works
-
00:07:11But generally, if you want the public to be able to sign up for your plans, then just leave this alone
-
00:07:17But if you want to give out access to specific users, then you can create a plan that only has access with those registration codes
-
00:07:25You can do that here
-
00:07:27Once you've finished all of the details for your plan and everything looks good and you've added all your terms of service, added all of your pricing and your details
-
00:07:39You then want to save the plan at the very bottom
-
00:07:42This will then save that plan
-
00:07:44It'll generate a plan number which you would connect with your URL that would be connected right here and then you can just give out this link to sign up directly for this plan
-
00:07:54And once you have saved the plan, you can then edit the module limits and details
-
00:08:01Let's go into this now
-
00:08:04The module's limits and details are going to determine the limits for the specific modules that you have selected
-
00:08:13So in this case, we have selected to give people on this plan the access to the mobile and desktop sites, progressive web apps, proposals, CRM, and invoices modules
-
00:08:25This is where we would control the settings for those specific modules
-
00:08:29So when we give them their site builder for the mobile and desktop sites, we can control the maximum number of sites that they can create and the maximum number of pages per site and any available
-
00:08:42widgets and templates as well
-
00:08:45So let's say for example, I want to give users on this plan five sites that they can create and they can create an unlimited number of pages per site
-
00:08:55And I want to give them let's say we'll give them all of the widgets
-
00:08:59You would just leave this blank and it would include all of the widgets
-
00:09:02If you want to give them all of the templates, just leave this blank and it would include all of the templates
-
00:09:07We don't have any templates available at this time because this is just a trading platform, but all of your available templates will appear in this box
-
00:09:15So whenever you set the limits for these modules, remember to save an update
-
00:09:21Some modules don't have settings
-
00:09:26Such as the proposals CRM it invoices
-
00:09:29There's no real options to control
-
00:09:31It just gives you access to those modules, but say for progressive web apps, you can control the maximum number of pushes per month
-
00:09:37And different modules might have different limits and settings that you can control and you would do so right here
-
00:09:44So if you want to make let's say one plan that has access to five sites and you want to charge $20 a month, you can make that so with this plan
-
00:09:56And then you can give an upgraded plan
-
00:09:57Let's say 10 sites for only $25 a month
-
00:10:02Then you can then use the upsell management tool
-
00:10:06Down here at the bottom, you would connect one plan to the other and that way users on the lesser plan will see the upgrade option to the higher plan and it might encourage them to upgrade
-
00:10:19their plan limits
-
00:10:20Once you have set all of your module limits and details, again, always remember to save and then you can go to my plans and products section to see all of your available plans
-
00:10:34Once you have created your plans, users can then sign up for that plan and they can begin using those modules
-
00:10:43Follow me in the next video while I discuss the manage products page
-
00:10:48Products are used to add additional products and modules and limits that aren't available specifically on the plan but can instead be purchased separately and upgraded to
-
00:11:01So follow me in the next video as we go through products
