In this video, I'm going to discuss the content block widget

The content block widget is one of the most versatile widgets that we have, and it's likely going to be the one widget that you're probably going to be using the most

A content block allows you to put virtually any content in the form of texts, images, videos, or buttons, and you can place that wherever you'd like in your list of widgets

As you can see here in this display, our first widget is a header, which is always going to display on top

And in fact, a header is essentially nothing more than a content block, which always displays on top above other widgets

But beneath the header, we have several content blocks, and the website is nothing but content blocks beneath that, which make up all of the website, with the texts, multiple images, headers, and even buttons and links

Content block is very easy to use

When you add a widget and create a content block, just fill out whatever information you'd like it to say

As you can see here, this content block underneath the header is the About Us, and you can organize your title, your subtitle, and your text, and that'll display for that content

If you add images, it'll add images to that content block, and you can add multiple images and even do slider effects, as you can see right here

You can determine where the images are aligned, whether they're below the block, above it, or elsewhere

You can determine how much space they take up, and even add filters, if you'd like, that'll add special effects, and control the slider transitions when you have multiple images

You can add buttons as well

Buttons allow you to achieve a variety of different objectives

But as you can see, this content block near the bottom has a Contact Us button

You can add tags as well

Tags will allow you to search for specific widgets, or allow your users to filter by tags

And if you add an author and a date, it'll display that information below the content block, so you can make like a blog post or something similar, if you'd like

Location and map will allow you to put an actual GPS location in that content block

You can put your address in here, and this will link to Google Maps, or you can put a different address here

And this will create a map, which users can then click and interact with to GPS on their phone or other mobile device

You can even add attachments

Small attachments can be dragged and dropped or uploaded from your computer

Please know we're not a file -sharing service, so we are limited in the amount of space that can be uploaded

But if you have small files, you can upload them here

And if you have larger files, I would recommend signing up for a dedicated file hosting service that can actually store large files like a cloud service of some kind

And then they should almost always have the ability to embed files or share them in some other way, where you can put the sharing link in the main content

You can also enable comments, if you'd like

Enabling comments will allow users to the site and visitors to leave comments on that particular widget

And the additional options are the similar to other widgets as well, where you can toggle this to mobile only or desktop only

And additional styles will let you control the margins as well as customize the background and the animations

That's the main content of the content block

And as I said before, I would recommend using the content block for most things on your website

Unless you have a very specific use for what you're trying to accomplish, then you should use that specific widget designed for that

But if you don't know what to use, or you're just looking to add some text, images, videos, or multiple buttons, then you can always use a content block and it should work
