In this tutorial, I'm going to be discussing the localization options, which allow you to change the language of your website, as well as the way numbers and dates are displayed
    • 00:00:10
So if you see here on my preview, I have a contact form, and I have a basic product with a price, and this form is automatically generated by the platform, as well as these buttons
    • 00:00:25
So if I ever wanted to change the language of these, all I would have to do is simply go into options, end your site, and then go to localization
    • 00:00:34
Once you go there, it'll let you change the language
    • 00:00:38
      So the default is English
    • 00:00:40
If I wanted to switch it to Italian, you can simply select that and save, and you'll see all the fields have now switched to Italian
    • 00:00:48
      The buttons have switched
    • 00:00:50
      These fields have switched
    • 00:00:52
The only thing that hasn't switched is this product one, and that is because that is actually what I typed for that particular widget
    • 00:01:00
So anything you type manually will not be translated
    • 00:01:04
However, anything that is generated by the system automatically will be translated, such as this quantities box and the buttons here
    • 00:01:12
But for this product one, that was actually part of the product widget that I typed that, so that's going to remain
    • 00:01:18
However, you can also change how the numbers look
    • 00:01:21
So the standard layout for numbers is, you know, with commas and decimal points at the end, which represent a sense
    • 00:01:28
So if you want to change that, you can do the number format right here, and you can put a, you know, a period instead of the comma and swap them
    • 00:01:36
If you want, so this has a period where the comma should be in a comma where the period should be, so that swaps that or you can put a space where the comma is and then
    • 00:01:44
      keep the period
    • 00:01:46
So that inserts a space automatically
    • 00:01:49
And it does all this throughout the site consistently, and just keep in mind that it will only change things that are generated by the site
    • 00:01:58
So the form contact and all that is automatically generated, but for the product, I actually put the title as product one in English, so that's going to remain in English because that's what I typed
    • 00:02:11
I would have to tie a change that manually in order to change that language
    • 00:02:15
However, as far as anything generated within a system, it can easily be changed by going to options and localization
