00:00:00In this video, I'm going to be discussing the blog widget
-
00:00:04The blog widget allows you to create full -fledged blogs with individual posts that you can put in the individual articles, images, and whatever content you want into those posts
-
00:00:17You can create your title and subtitle at the top, just like most other widgets, and the blog posts where you would create your individual post anytime you want to add a new post
-
00:00:29Simply create a blog post, and it will create those individual posts, as you can see, on the display on the right
-
00:00:36Underneath that, we have the search tab
-
00:00:38This will allow you to add a search form, as well as control those search options, and also control how the pages are displayed, how many items per page, and how you want those to look, and
-
00:00:49how you want them to be ordered
-
00:00:51You can also add individual tags and control those tags or hide them, and enable RSS feeds as well
-
00:00:58The style and layout is where you would control how it looks on mobile versus desktop, the amount of columns, and how the image and text looks, and where it's oriented, and as well as the image
-
00:01:11shape
-
00:01:13You can add API keys, which are used for authentication for certain websites
-
00:01:22You can even enable comments on the blog
-
00:01:25Turning this on will allow users to leave comments on that particular widget, or that particular blog post, and the additional options are the same as other widgets
-
00:01:37You can control the mobile only, or the desktop only, and you can add additional styles such as controlling the margins and even managing the background
-
00:01:46When you'd like to create a blog post, simply click add a new post, and this will create a new blog post, or you can edit an existing blog post
-
00:01:56Editing a blog post is very similar to a content blog
-
00:01:59You have your title, right here, your subtitle, an abstract, and the main text
-
00:02:05You can also schedule this to go out at a specific time, and add images and videos
-
00:02:11You can drag and drop images, or use the browse button to select an image, and if you add you want the slider to a transition, and even upload a video by adding a video URL right
-
00:02:29into this box, such as from YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook
-
00:02:32Simply copy your URL right there, and then that'll add that video to that blog post
-
00:02:39You can add buttons, just like the buttons widget
-
00:02:42Please watch the buttons widget to see more about how those buttons work
-
00:02:47Add tags for individual blog posts is very simple
-
00:02:51Simply add your tags one at a time in this box, and that'll add those tags to that blog post
-
00:02:57You can add an author and date, such as your own biography and own information
-
00:03:02Simply put that right in here, and you can add a location and a map
-
00:03:08Very similar to the maps widget that we have, please watch the maps widget video for more information, but you can add an address, and this will create a map on that particular blog post, which users
-
00:03:19can then navigate to
-
00:03:21You can add attachments, if you'd like, by dragging and dropping small files, or by browsing and uploading
-
00:03:27This will allow users to download those files directly
-
00:03:31And you can edit the SEO, open graph, and URL by changing the meta information here
-
00:03:38Simply edit that for search engine optimization
-
00:03:41And similar and nearby items, this will show other blog posts within that same widget that you can link this particular blog post to
-
00:03:50So if you have other blog posts that are similar, you can select similar items
-
00:03:54And turning on comments will enable comments for that particular blog post
-
00:04:00Once you have added all of your content to your blog post, and everything is correct, go ahead and save an update, that particular item, and this will add that blog post to your website, which users
-
00:04:16can then click and open, and it will open that blog post and present all that information to them
-
00:04:21And that's how simple it is to use the blog's widget
