00:00:00Welcome back to our reseller onboarding training series
-
00:00:04This is the last video of this series in which I'm going to go over all the previous videos and other topics we've covered and discuss how to put them all together to launch your platform
-
00:00:15If you haven't watched any of the previous videos, I would suggest watch all of the previous reseller onboarding videos to understand how to fully set up your platform
-
00:00:25In this video, I'm going to be walking you through all of a quick overview of the steps of everything you need to do in order to fully launch your platform
-
00:00:35I'm going to be referencing this simple text document with an outline here that I'll kind of walk you through as we make sure we complete all the steps necessary so that we're ready for launch
-
00:00:46Now, when you first sign up for a reseller account, you're going to want to make sure you set up my platform in the my platform settings
-
00:00:56Setting up your account and importing any new templates and help if available
-
00:01:03So new templates and help can be seen right up here at the top
-
00:01:08You'll have a message that says there's either new tutorials available or maybe a notification that says you have templates ready to import
-
00:01:16Make sure that you check that everything is correct in the platform and then you want to set up my platform by going down the list here
-
00:01:28The Generals and Domains is where I would start
-
00:01:31Set up your domain along with your email transport
-
00:01:36You do that in the Generals and Domains
-
00:01:38You would set up your domain through your domain registrar such as GoDaddy or wherever it is that you purchased your domain
-
00:01:46Make sure everything is correct and connected there
-
00:01:50Please watch the training video on how to set up your domain and SSL if you're unfamiliar
-
00:01:57Once that's set up, then you want to set up your email transport
-
00:02:01Either by entering your account information for Outlook or GoDaddy or SendGrid and for Gmail, please watch the videos on how to set up email transport to see how to generate a Gmail password key
-
00:02:17But once you've done that, then you can move on to the legal information
-
00:02:23That's important as well
-
00:02:26I would recommend going down the line here, but the legal is very important to make sure that you have set up if you're going to be selling anything to the public
-
00:02:34You want to have all of your legal information valid and accurate
-
00:02:38So make sure that's set up properly
-
00:02:40Once all that's done and you've set up my platform, you can then move on to create plans
-
00:02:47You can do so
-
00:02:50In the My Plans and Products section, simply go to My Plans and Products, and you can create new plans and products as well by going to manage products
-
00:03:02You're going to want to create individual products or bundle products
-
00:03:06Once you have plans, then you can create products
-
00:03:10If you have access to products, you can create them right here and customize those, however you'd like
-
00:03:17Then you always want to add users and test these plans and products before launch
-
00:03:24You can do that by going to My Users and then creating a new user manually and then placing them on a plan
-
00:03:34Once you have created a user, you can then log in as this user to double check and make sure everything appears as it should
-
00:03:44As long as everything's good and your plans are set up correctly, you can then move on to the next step of setting up your help section
-
00:03:52You can use the existing help or create your own help articles and the manage help section
-
00:03:59Once you import your help section, if they have any videos or help articles available to import, you can import them here at the top
-
00:04:07Then you can organize them however you wish by creating categories and then creating help articles that you can place within those categories
-
00:04:17You can put whatever you'd like in those help articles or use ours as a reference
-
00:04:22Once you've added your categories and organized all of your help articles, you then want to move on to your support section where you actually create support as users and then add them as support agents
-
00:04:36You can do that in the manage support
-
00:04:41This will let you create accounts for support agents and add them as agents in the platform
-
00:04:52Once you have an account created in the My Users, you can then add an agent for an existing user and then give them access to tickets and then from there they can respond to tickets and
-
00:05:06reply to any questions
-
00:05:07that your users may have
-
00:05:09Once you have your support set up, then you're going to want to make sure your emails are set up as well before you launch your platform
-
00:05:18It's important to import any reactive emails that you have available
-
00:05:23You can set up emails in the manage email section
-
00:05:27Please watch the previous videos, like I said, to understand how all these categories work, but a brief overview is that the one -shot emails are used for sending individual emails at a specific time or one
-
00:05:41email multiple times
-
00:05:43Periodic emails are used to send automated emails after a specific time or changed after another email and the reactive emails respond to triggers in the platform, such as when a user forgets the password or if
-
00:05:57their trial is expiring or if an account needs activation
-
00:06:01You can import these by clicking the import from parent platform button and you can set up any other reactive emails that you'd like
-
00:06:10Once you have your emails set up, you're just about done, then you're going to want to set up the platform website and publish everything
-
00:06:20This includes creating a site and using any reseller widgets to add everything and information to the site that you will sell your platform from
-
00:06:31So just to summarize, you're going to need two domains, a domain for the actual platform itself and either a subdomain or a separate domain for the platform website that you sell the plans from
-
00:06:46An example site would look kind of like this
-
00:06:51You would simply use the tools we have available to create a site either from an existing template or from scratch and customize the widgets however you'd like in order to brand your platform and sell it
-
00:07:04with whatever features you want to sell at whatever price you set
-
00:07:09This is a demonstration site that one of our agents had set up called trendy sites
-
00:07:15As you can see, this is all the information about the platform and the features we have available
-
00:07:21You can see some sample templates and even click a button to actually explore and see those templates
-
00:07:29You have information about the platform and the site
-
00:07:34You have some features here
-
00:07:35You can use our widget or write your own features from scratch
-
00:07:41You can see this gives information about the platform, what it does, some of the features available then even have mobile first information because this is a mobile first platform
-
00:07:54You can emphasize that and give some more information about that
-
00:08:00And one of the most important things is once you set up all of your plans, you need to have prices for them and make them available for sale by connecting them with the prices widget
-
00:08:13Once you add your prices widget and you have your plans set up and customize which of those are for sale, this will then add those plans and users can pick which plan they'd like and they
-
00:08:25can even purchase by clicking the button and this will take them to a payment screen where they can either start a free trial or purchase the plan directly and they will then be able to log
-
00:08:39into whatever platform you have set up with their account they have just created and whatever access you've given them they can then start creating sites and accessing whatever features they have available
-
00:08:52Once they have created an account they will then appear in your users list and you will be able to manage them however you'd like from there and that right there is the overview of platform setup
-
00:09:07and allowing users to log into your platform and all of the main major steps necessary in order to set up your platform
-
00:09:16I'd recommend following these in order once your platform is set up and ready then it'll be a lot easier to understand how all of this clicks together but that is the overview of everything and once
-
00:09:31you have your platform set up and ready then you will be able to start accepting payments
